A snazzy portrait by the lovely and talented Julie!
I updated my website tonight, adding a lot of new photos, and creating ‘film’ and ‘digital’ sections, as well as some of my favorite professional work. I’d love feedback on my portfolio, please help support and reblog.
Thanks guys!

Photographer Dennis Manarchy has taken the idea of large-format and … enlarged it. To make his portraits, Manarchy goes inside a 35-foot-long camera. He uses a 6-foot-tall negative. And to process the film, he says, “you gotta get really nasty.”

This guy takes fantastic photos. Y’all should definitely head over to his blog, follow and then scavenge the archives! :P
(p.s. Claire, is The Violet Hour that speakeasy-themed place you wanted to go to last time we were all in the same city?)

WHOA-LGERS Milwaukee-based photographer Jack Long uses high-speed photography to capture the moment splashes are made in cups of coffee. He won’t reveal exactly how his technique works, except to say that the technique employs “short-duration flash lighting.” And perhaps not using decaf.
